About Me & My Style

People have always known me as the person behind the camera. In 1984 my inner shutterbug was released when I received my first camera, the Kodak “Disc”. That small, gold camera inspired me and created an obsession with photos. Over the years my infatuation grew. Four years ago I received my first DSLR camera and it was love at first sight. I. Was. Hooked. I shot and I practiced. Then I shot and practiced some more. And more. When I wasn’t shooting photos I was taking classes, playing with Photoshop or browsing the web, searching for inspiration. In 2009, with the encouragement and support of family and friends I decided to make the transition from hobbyist to professional. I now specialize in on-location natural light photography. My style is a mixture of lifestyle photography and portraiture. It is my goal to capture “that” moment for you. The glimmer of mischief in your child’s eyes, the flutter you feel in your stomach when you catch a glimpse of the one you love, or the beaming pride behind your smile when you gaze at your family. I want to record it all. Preserve these moments for a lifetime. As a wife, mother of two, and owner of two crazy dogs I understand the desire to catch and preserve these treasured moments in photographs. To quote photographer Aaron Siskind, “Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever…it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.”
Although Pixel Pages Photography is based in Pleasanton, I do travel throughout the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond.  If you have your heart set on a location we will make it happen!
