Yellowstone

I am finally getting around to posting some of my scenic shots from our trip to Yellowstone.  This place is a photographer's dream between the scenery and wildlife!  We cannot wait to return.  Only next time we are thinking it might be best to go without the kids.  Lots of hiking trails we want to try, and it is A LOT of work to camp in Yellowstone with a busy little boy like Lucas.  It was a great trip and truly a spectacular place.
Hey there Mr. Buffalo!

On our way to Roosevelt Country

The "Golden Gate"

I have never seen a squirrel shedding its coat before!  I guess California squirrels don't shed!

View from our drive to Mt. Washburn

Lamar Valley full of buffalo

Black bear that decided to hold up traffic.  We were more than excited to see our first Yellowstone bear!

View from Mt. Washburn

When I look at those people & compare them to the view I feel very small!

Ward, Amy, and the World's Most Gregarious Toddler

Ward and Amy are two incredibly sweet people.  They were so much fun to photograph because they were up for anything and were a blast to talk to.  And their daughter?  Let's just say she is so dang charming I would have another baby if I could have one just like her!  So animated and full of life.  She is so expressive!  In general, this is one great family and I loved our time together.  Thanks again for the great photo shoot!

Isabella & Olivia

I first met these girls when they were babies and their mom, Michele, was one of my favorite customers at Baby Gap.  Fast forward several years and our daughters are in the same kindergarten class!  I have had the pleasure of watching them grow up into sweet young ladies.  They are just a joy to be around, and fascinating to witness the bond they have as twins.  Isabella and Olivia were up for anything.  We had oodles of fun playing with the paper parasol.  Thanks girls!  I had a great time and hope Mom and Dad enjoy your photos!

Lance, Sarah, & the Kiddos

This was a photo shoot Sarah and I had been planning for quite some time.  I was so excited when it finally came to fruition!  They are preparing for the adoption of a new family member:  a daughter for them, and a sister for their children.  We knew this special moment in their lives would be a great a opportunity.  A family photo to share with their future-daughter's caregivers.  I cannot imagine a more deserving family.  They have so much love and tenderness to share.  What a fortunate little girl their soon-to-be daughter is.  I so excited to meet her and photograph them all as a family of six!  Thank you again for braving the cold and for such a fun shoot!
